Doing Business With Christians

A New Breed Of Christian Businesses Is Coming

How would you like to be a blessing to businesses where the owners and staff are believers?

I certainly would, but sadly, many Christian owned businesses fall short of the professional standard of most worldly businesses. Instead of being a testimony to how we can do business better with the Lord's help, they become a shame to the Lord and to other believers.

Most Christian owned businesses do not even announce the fact that they are Christians when advertising their business. If you visit their website, you would not even guess that they are believers.

Now I would like you to imagine a situation that could exist if we did things God's way.

Imagine!

1. Imagine a business that operates using Scriptural principles, yet is every bit as professional as worldly businesses.

2. Imagine businesses that are in fellowship with other businesses in the Lord, sharing their commitment to the Kingdom of God, while working side by side with each other.

3. Imagine businesses that are all applying the same basic principles, doing things God's way, and not trying to tear each other down.

4. Imagine businesses where true believers become customers because they want to be a blessing to fellow believers.

5. Imagine businesses where you do not have to pay people to advertise for you. They invite their friends and contacts out of gratitude and the love of the Lord.

6. Imagine businesses that support each other when one is going through a difficult time. So that instead of running to worldly organizations for help, they can go to a fellow believer for support.

7. Imagine Christians working for Christian employers, where the love of the Lord is the ruling motivation, and not simply catering to fleshly desires.

I have not only begun to imagine this, but the Lord has told me to make an effort to make this come into existence.

With the Lord's help, and following the Business Mandate that He has given me, I have been hard at work preparing both the materials and the training resources to make this all happen.

Can You Say Yes To These Questions?

 

  1. God has put into your heart a desire to be in your own business.
  2. You already have a business but have been struggling to survive
  3. You would love to fellowship with other Christian business owners and learn from them how to function better in your business
  4. You would like access to business resources and materials that are unique and different to what the world offers
  5. You would like to put your business online without having to know a lot about programming and web design
  6. You would like to find Christians businesses to buy from, and thus support fellow believers instead of unbelievers

 

If you answered YES to any of these questions, then I have good news for you.

I have been thinking in recent time regarding the book of Acts where the scriptures say the church shared things they had in common,and none lacked anything good.

This is awesome, this is interesting, this is just the opposite of the state of the church today.

It tells me that a lot of things are wrong with today's church where poverty, lack and pain are just the order of the day and no one seems to have the answer. All we hear of is pay your tithe, sow your seeds.

All these are not wrong in themselves but how about the poor in the church, how about those who need financial breakthroughs, what are the practical ways out for them?

Trying to integrate the apostles style of wealth creation, in application to today's church, I realise the church today is far behind in this truth.

They all shared in common in modern term means business networking among the then early christians.

They shared of their wealth and ideas and are become blessed.

This is what I believe this new business idea is all about.

It's a welcome idea.

How long is it going to take for the christian business school to get started. We as believers need this right now. Praise God for You Mr Bill and I can see the prayers of the righteous prevail much.

Reply From Bill Yinaire: How you handle employees is a big subject that I have addressed in some detail in my Fivefold Business School course at http://www.fivefold-business-school.com

No business can run exclusively employing believers, and sometimes people take advantage of the situation and fail to be good employees. In such a case they should be treated no different to an employee who is an unbeliever.

The main difference will be that you could also apply the discipline/reconciliation dynamic that Jesus told us in the following passage:

Matthew 18:15 Moreover if your brother trespasses against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone: if he listens to you, you have gained your brother.
16 But if he will not listen to [you, then] take with you one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every [rhema] word may be established.
17 And if he fails to listen to them, tell [it] to the church: but if he fails to listen to the church, let him be to you as a heathen person and a tax collector.

Response from alun : well done if everyone responded with the correct attitude and not seeking to get something out except blessing that business it will be great, but if we expect to get bargains and favours just because we are a christian buisness we only have our self interest at heart and not the business we are supporting. if they choose to give a discount or special then that is there blessing to us but we should not expect it as that person also has a business with overheads to run and we should want to them prosper
